After hinting at their ability to perform songs all across the rock spectrum on their first album, Stand Back goes all in on the sonic diversity. For every trenchant alt-rock foot stomper, there's a nod to the melodic songwriting of Van Morrison or an unhinged psychedelic blues jam. The group branches out instrumentally on Shining Mile - incorporating synths, strings, slide guitar, and auxiliary percussion to support their core of drums, bass, and growling distorted guitars. The eclectic production is anchored by their three distinct lead vocals with each member offering their own observations and insights. "Got Me a Love", "Brother Nature" and "Have You Ever Been Lonely" are shining examples of the groups songwriting diversity.
